Covenant Academy was handed a 24-run loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Georgia Military College Bulldogs, sneaking past 10-8. For the Rams, this counts as revenge for the 13-9 win the Bulldogs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2024.

The team relied heavily on Blake Bartow, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in stolen bases. Another player making a difference was Hayden Korink, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

The victory got Covenant Academy back to even at 1-1. As for Georgia Military College, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Covenant Academy is headed away from home for the first time to challenge Mount de Sales Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Georgia Military College, they are taking a road trip to square off against Windsor Academy at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
