Softball Recap: Clear Springs Victorious

It's playoff time, and Clear Springs had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top against the Dobie Longhorns by a score of 7-3 on Wednesday. The victory continues a trend for the Chargers in their matchups with the Longhorns: they've now won seven in a row.

Zoey Dabila spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on seven hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Elisa Garcia, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three doubles, two runs, and one RBI. Those three doubles gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Alana Strever, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and two doubles.

Clear Springs' win bumped their record up to 25-13. As for Dobie, their defeat dropped their record down to 23-11.

Clear Springs will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Longhorns: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
