Basketball Game Preview: New Hope-Solebury Lions vs. Central Bucks West Bucks

The New Hope-Solebury Lions will face off against the Central Bucks West Bucks at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

It was a proper cat-fight when New Hope-Solebury faced off against Cheltenham on Friday. New Hope-Solebury fell to Cheltenham 51-47. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 148th, while the Panthers are ranked 39th).

Meanwhile, Central Bucks West was beaten by Central Bucks East 67-31 on Friday. The Bucks have struggled against the Patriots recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

New Hope-Solebury's loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Central Bucks West, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-13.

New Hope-Solebury might still be hurting after the 51-31 loss they got from Central Bucks West in their previous meeting back in February of 2021. Can New Hope-Solebury avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
