McGill-Toolen had already won 28 in a row and they went ahead and made it 29 on Friday. They came out on top against the Southside Panthers by a score of 2-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Yellowjackets also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2015.

Catherine Mcclain paced McGill-Toolen's offense, picking up ten kills. Mcclain got some help from Alice Wood and her 21 assists. Bella Smith controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

McGill-Toolen's win bumped their record up to 35-2. As for Southside, with the defeat, they broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 18-13.

McGill-Toolen wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against UMS-Wright Prep on the 11th. As for Southside, they will square off against Gadsden City at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
