Soccer Game Preview: Mayfield vs. Chadwick

The Mayfield Cubs will venture away from home to square off against the Chadwick Dolphins at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Mayfield will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Mayfield's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They came out on top against Westridge by a score of 2-0.

Meanwhile, for the first time since back in December of 2025, Chadwick was forced to settle for a draw on Friday. They and Cerritos finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw.

Chadwick's draw gives them a new season record of 3-10-3. As for Mayfield, their victory bumped their record up to 9-6-3.

Mayfield got the 'W' when the teams last played on Wednesday against Chadwick by a conclusive 4-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cubs since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
