Soccer Game Preview: Beacon Hill vs. Laguna Blanca

The Beacon Hill Gryphon will head out on the road to challenge the Laguna Blanca Owls at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty goal totals in their previous games.

Last Tuesday, Beacon Hill made easy work of Santa Clara and carried off a 10-1 win. With the Gryphon ahead 5-1 at the half, the match was all but over already.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Laguna Blanca). They were the clear victor by a 6-1 margin over Santa Clara on Friday. The score was close at the half, but the Owls pulled away in the second half with five goals.

Beacon Hill now has a winning record of 1-0-1. As for Laguna Blanca, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Beacon Hill came up short against Laguna Blanca in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, falling 3-1. Can Beacon Hill avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
