Basketball Game Preview: Laton Mustangs vs. Alpaugh Buffalos

Laton has gone 9-1 against Alpaugh recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. Having just played yesterday, the Mustangs will jump right back in to play the Buffalos at 11:30 a.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

It looked like the Kentucky Derby when Laton took on Coast Union on Friday. The Mustangs came out on top against the Broncos by a score of 30-20. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mustangs.

Gabriella Alvarado was the offensive standout of the contest as she posted 27 points. Those 27 points gave her a new career-high.

Meanwhile, Alpaugh blew past Maricopa, posting a 46-7 victory. That 39 point margin sets a new team best for the Buffalos this season.

Laton's record now sits at 2-7. As for Alpaugh, their record is now 3-5.

Laton came up short against Alpaugh when the teams last played back in February, falling 35-27. Can the Mustangs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
