After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Northwest, Hastings was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Kearney Bearcats by a score of 11-8. The win continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Bearcats: they've now won nine in a row.

The team relied heavily on BROOKE OCHSNER, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most runs she has posted since September 4th. Another player making a difference was EMILY KRATZER, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.

Hastings' record now sits at 20-7. As for Kearney, they moved to 20-10 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Coming up, Hastings will be playing in front of their home fans against Waverly at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Vikings have averaged an impressive 7.3 runs per game this season. As for Kearney, they are taking a road trip to face off against Columbus at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Discoverers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.73 runs per game on average), something the Bearcats will no doubt try to take advantage of.
