Softball Recap: Thomson Comes Up Short

Lincoln County hit Thomson with a six-run second inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Bulldogs lost 12-1 to the Red Devils. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Red Devils recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Thomson saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Andie Ducey, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases.

Thomson's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Lincoln County, their win bumped their record up to 8-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Thomson will head out to face off against Academy of Richmond County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lincoln County, they will challenge Lake Oconee Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
