Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask St. Anne's-Belfield). They enjoyed a cozy 72-56 victory over the Ballou Knights on Saturday. With that win, the Saints brought their scoring average up to 53.2 points per game.

St. Anne's-Belfield was led to victory by Jayden Brown and Haden Morris. Brown posted 21 points in addition to six boards and four steals, while Morris earned 20 points and four steals. Another player making a difference was Shamar Curley, who scored ten points and five rebounds.

St. Anne's-Belfield's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Ballou, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Looking ahead, St. Anne's-Belfield will welcome Miller School of Albemarle at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ballou, they will face off against Anacostia at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The game will give the Knights their first taste of in-conference action this season.
