Basketball Recap: Kade Wright Key Part of a Team Effort in Hornets Win

While Medora didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-13), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They took down the Lighthouse Christian Academy Lions 84-66 on Saturday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 76-57 back in December of 2024.

Medora got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kade Wright out in front who went 7 of 17 on his way to 16 points in addition to seven assists and seven boards. Another player making a difference was Hudson Johnson, who went 8 for 13 on his way to 20 points in addition to six boards and three blocks.

Medora smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

The win made it two in a row for Medora and bumps their season record up to 6-3. As for Lighthouse Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-7.

Medora didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 79-46 victory against Columbus Christian on the 11th. As for Lighthouse Christian Academy, they will host Shawe Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
