Baseball Game Preview: Peachtree Academy Panthers vs. Covington Academy Bulldogs

For the second straight game, Peachtree Academy will face off against Covington Academy. The Panthers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Peachtree Academy barely beat Covington Academy the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Panthers blew past the Bulldogs 16-5 on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won nine in a row.

For Covington Academy's part, Austin Lowery made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances. Lowery has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last six times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Henderson, who scored a run while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Peachtree Academy's win bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Covington Academy, their loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-10.
