Softball Recap: Crisp Academy's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

After flying high against Pataula Charter Academy last Saturday, Crisp Academy came back down to earth. The Wildcats fell just short of the Tiftarea Academy Panthers by a score of 2-1 on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost five in a row.

Brynleigh Gravitt spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on four hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up a single earned run any time she's pitched this season.

At the plate, Laura Evans was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Having lost for the first time this season, Crisp Academy fell to 2-1.

Looking ahead, Crisp Academy will take on Terrell Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Tiftarea Academy will be paying especially close attention to the Wildcats' game: after the Wildcats face off against Fitzgerald, they'll take on Tiftarea Academy again at 6:00 p.m. on the 19th.
