Weeki Wachee can bid farewell to their five-match losing streak thanks to their match on Monday. They won by a set and slipped past the Wesley Chapel Wildcats 3-2. That's more bragging rights for the Hornets, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Weeki Wachee was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 24-26, 24-26, 25-23, 15-13.

Marlee Schumacher paced Weeki Wachee's offense, picking up 24 kills. Schumacher got some help from Kendyl Eastin and her 35 assists. Finally, Schumacher was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high nine blocks.

Weeki Wachee's victory bumped their record up to 13-9. As for Wesley Chapel, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-16.

Looking ahead, Weeki Wachee will challenge Central at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wesley Chapel, they will square off against Osceola at 7:45 p.m. on Thursday.
