Soccer Game Preview: Burbank vs. Florin

The Burbank Titans will square off against the Florin Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Burbank will be strutting in after a win while Florin will be coming in after a loss.

Burbank's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. Everything went their way against Johnson as Burbank made off with an 8-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Titans, who have now won seven contests by three goals or more so far this season.

Their offense was hitting Johnson from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Laura Carlos led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, Florin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against West Campus, falling 6-0. The matchup was up for grabs at halftime, but sadly the Panthers struggled afterwards.

Burbank has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-7-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 40 goals over those eight contests. As for Florin, their loss dropped their record down to 0-12-2.

Everything went Burbank's way against Florin in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, as Burbank made off with a 10-0 win. Will Burbank repeat their success, or does Florin have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
