Ripon is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over East Union. Given Ripon's advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 227th, while East Union are ranked 479th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Placer beat Casa Roble 3-1 on Friday. That's two games straight that Placer have won by exactly two goals.
