Football Recap: Aztec Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Aztec fell victim to Grants and their airtight defense on Friday. They took a blow against the Pirates, falling 51-0. The Tigers just can't catch a break and have now endured five losses in a row.

Grants found their leader in freshman Julian Fernandez, who rushed for 90 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only seven carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Tristin Fernandez, who threw for 99 yards and two TDs while completing 77.8% of his passes.

Aztec's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Grants, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-1.

Coming up, Aztec will take on Moriarty at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Grants, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Taos at 6:00 p.m. on October 10.
