Canyon took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 46-8 win over Norco. Given the Comanches' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 243rd, while the Cougars are ranked 970th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, you're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Crean Lutheran on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew Sunny Hills out of the water with a 59-28 final score. The match was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Saints had established a 20 point advantage.

Crean Lutheran had a senior duo take command as Micaela Hanning posted 15 points and Sydnee Norwood put up 16 points. Jane Hewitt was another key player, putting up eight points.

Canyon now has a winning record of 14-13. As for Crean Lutheran, they pushed their record up to 21-5 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.
