Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Kamila Hernandez and Christine Sayaseng Lead Mclane to Victory

McLane waltzed into their match on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They took down the Minarets Mustangs 52-33. That's more bragging rights for the Highlanders, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

McLane was led to victory by Christine Sayaseng and Kamila Hernandez. Sayaseng posted 14 points, while Hernandez had ten points. Those 14 points gave Sayaseng a new career-high. Mariya Sanchez was another key player, putting up six points.

McLane now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Minarets, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-8.

McLane will face off against Sunnyside at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Minarets, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 44-9 loss against Sanger West on the 4th.
