Basketball Recap: San Fernando Takes a Loss

If San Fernando was feeling good fresh off their 60-23 takedown of Canoga Park last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The San Fernando Tigers took a 45-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Kennedy Cougars on Friday. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Cougars recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

It was another big night for Andreya Villa, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 14 boards for Kennedy. Katherine Franco was another key player, putting up seven points.

San Fernando's loss dropped their record down to 14-6. As for Kennedy, the victory (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 17-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. San Fernando will welcome Van Nuys at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Kennedy, they will host Panorama at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
