Softball Recap: St. Michael the Archangel Has No Trouble Against Lincoln College Prep

St. Michael the Archangel won the last time they faced Lincoln College Prep and things went their way on Friday too. The Guardians blew past the Blue Tigers 20-3. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Guardians.

Sophie Young and Eva Franke did most of the damage at the plate: Young went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs, while Franke got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Those three runs gave Franke a new career-high. Lyla Ventimiglia was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with four runs and two stolen bases.

St. Michael the Archangel's victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

St. Michael the Archangel didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 14-2 win against St. Teresa's Academy on the 30th. Hopefully Lincoln College Prep paid attention to the Guardians' match: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Guardians at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
