Basketball Recap: Foothill Comes Up Short

Foothill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They were outmatched by the Armijo Royals and fell 70-27.

Despite the loss, Foothill still got an impressive performance from Joyce Runner, who posted 20 points. Those 20 points gave Runner a new career-high.

Malia Moli had an outrageously good game for Armijo as she earned 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaelynn Mitchell, who had 12 points.

Foothill's defeat dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Armijo, they moved to 1-4 with that victory, which also ended their 19-game losing streak.

Foothill didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 72-18 loss against Fairfield on the 8th. As for Armijo, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 39-26 defeat against Burbank on the 8th.
