Basketball Recap: First Philadelphia Prep Comes Up Short

First Philadelphia Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Penn Treaty Wovles 52-12.

Penn Treaty was led to victory by Aliyah Rogers and Isabella Ortiz. Rogers posted 25 points and three blocks, while Ortiz dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten boards. The dominant performance gave Ortiz a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Malayah Brown, who had six points in addition to eight rebounds and four blocks.

First Philadelphia Prep's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Penn Treaty, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

First Philadelphia Prep will head out to square off against Samuel Fels at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Penn Treaty, they are taking a road trip to take on Mastery Charter Hardy Williams at 3:15 p.m. on Monday.
