Volleyball Recap: Eaton Falls to Windsor in First Game of Season + How To Watch

Eaton unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Windsor Wizards on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Reds were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wizards apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Eaton took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-22, 26-24.

Madi Smith paced Eaton's offense, picking up 13 kills. Smith got some help from Trinity Salberg and her 13 assists. Smith was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Leading Windsor to victory were Hallie Burroughs and Avery Smiley. Burroughs had four digs and three aces, while Smiley had 16 digs and three assists. Jasmine White was another key player, getting five digs and two aces.

Eaton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Mountain View on the 29th. As for Windsor, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Timnath on the 28th.
