Fredericktown put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They never let the St. Pius X Lancers get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory. The Black Cats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by ten runs or more this season.

Miley Wengler was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over four innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in strikeouts (five). She was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with four runs, three RBI, and one triple. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 2.5 runs per game.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Michaela Reagan, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in October of 2024. Ella Penwell was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Fredericktown's record now sits at 9-0. As for St. Pius X, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-11.

Coming up, Fredericktown will take on Chaffee at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for St. Pius X, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Hermann at 4:00 p.m. The Lancers will need to watch out since the Bearcats have now posted at least ten runs in their last three matchups.
