Monroe Area hasn't had much luck against Oconee County recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Monroe Area Purple Hurricanes will be playing at home against the Oconee County Warriors at 8:00 p.m. Monroe Area will be coming into the game with an undefeated record on the line.

Monroe Area's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Prince Avenue Christian, sneaking past 1-0. That's two games straight that the Purple Hurricanes have won by just one goal.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Oconee County's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Jackson County.

Monroe Area pushed their record up to 6-0 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 13 goals over those three contests. As for Oconee County, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.
