Soccer Game Preview: Valley vs. West Campus

Valley is 0-10 against West Campus since February of 2019 but things could change on Thursday. The Valley Vikings will venture away from home to challenge the West Campus Warriors at 4:30 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Valley's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Armijo 1-0. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but the Vikings were the better team in the second half.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last contest, West Campus made sure to put some goals up on the board against Fairfield on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 6-2 margin over the Falcons. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matches by four goals or more this season.

West Campus is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 4-1-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 25 goals over those five contests. As for Valley, their record is now 4-7.

Valley came up short against West Campus in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 2-0. Can Valley avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
