Baseball Recap: Plainfield Panthers vs. Windham Whippets
Plainfield won the last time they faced Windham and things went their way on Monday too. The Panthers walked away with a 9-6 win over the Whippets. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

Kaison Mayernik made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over six innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off five hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three runs and one double. Plainfield is undefeated when Mayernik posts two or more runs, but 3-12 otherwise.
In other pitching news, Carson Lavallee looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.
Back at the plate, Plainfield let Jace Arriaga and Shane Gregoire run wild. Arriaga went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double, while Gregoire went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run. That triple marked the first that Gregoire has hit this season.
