With a playoff win on the line, Fresno rose to the challenge on Friday. They took down the Sunnyside Wildcats 46-29. This was a revenge game for the Warriors: when they faced off against the Wildcats back in December of 2024, they had to take a 40-33 loss.

Despite the loss, Sunnyside still got an impressive performance from Ruby Cartwright, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and 13 rebounds. Cartwright has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 25 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Reyna Serrato, who posted seven points in addition to six boards and three steals.

Fresno's victory bumped their record up to 11-18. As for Sunnyside, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-13.

Coming up, Fresno will head out to square off against Immanuel at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Immanuel will roll in looking for their 13th straight win, something Fresno surely won't give up without a fight. Sunnyside does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
