The University Prep Panthers will venture away from home to face off against the Moreau Catholic Mariners at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. University Prep is coming into the contest hot, having won their last eight games.

University Prep is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They managed a 43-37 win over Colusa. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 75th, while the RedHawks are ranked 238th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Moreau Catholic beat University 48-41 on Saturday.

Moreau Catholic's win came from a few key players University Prep will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Kaliya Kirkwood, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and 21 rebounds. She is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as she's posted one of at least 50% in the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Ava Bowens, who posted 12 points along with eight boards and five steals.

Moreau Catholic is on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 17 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.9 points over those games. University Prep's record is now 25-3.
