Softball Recap: Valley Park Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Valley Park, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They skirted past the Ladue Horton Watkins Rams 3-2. The Hawks haven't had any issues with the Rams recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Adison Durbin made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out 13 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in October of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one triple and one run.

In other batting news, Alivia Robison was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in October of 2024.

Valley Park now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Ladue Horton Watkins, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-6.

Coming up, Valley Park will face off against Fox at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Ladue Horton Watkins, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 14-1 win against Parkway North on the 26th.
