Soccer Game Preview: Mojave vs. Mammoth

Mojave hasn't had much luck against Mammoth recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Mustangs will challenge the Huskies at 1:00 p.m. Mojave's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Mojave played against Kern Valley on Thursday and lost via forfeit.

Mammoth will bounce into Tuesday's match after beating Bishop Union, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Huskies won by a goal and slipped past the Broncos 1-0. The result kept Mammoth happy, as they haven't lost a game since January 6th.

Mammoth pushed their record up to 10-7-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 13 goals over those three matchups. As for Mojave, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-12.

Mojave might still be hurting after the 9-0 loss they got from Mammoth in their previous matchup on January 8th. Can the Mustangs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
