Recap: Ligonier Valley Rams vs. Marion Center Stingers
The Ligonier Valley Rams lost against the Marion Center Stingers back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Ligonier Valley was dealt a 61-27 defeat at the hands of Marion Center. Ligonier Valley has struggled against Marion Center recently, as their game on Wednesday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Marlee Miller and Sydnee Foust certainly did their best on Wednesday to try and avoid the loss. Miller scored 16 points along with 6 rebounds, while Foust scored 5 points. Miller scored a full 59.3% of Ligonier Valley's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Ligonier Valley now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Marion Center, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.
Ligonier Valley will look to defend their home court on Friday against Valley at 6:00 p.m. Valley is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. Marion Center won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Cambria Heights at 7:15 p.m. on December 7th. Cambria Heights will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 107th, while Marion Center is ranked 28th).
