Basketball Game Preview: West Point Green Wave vs. Shannon Red Raiders

The West Point Green Wave will square off against the Shannon Red Raiders at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. West Point will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak dating back to last season.

On Saturday, West Point didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Amory, but they still walked away with a 45-40 win.

Meanwhile, Shannon came up short against Calhoun City on Saturday and fell 61-51. The defeat continues a trend for the Red Raiders in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost three in a row.

Shannon's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for West Point, their victory bumped their record up to 3-0.

West Point didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Shannon in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, but they still walked away with a 48-43 win. Will the Green Wave repeat their success, or do the Red Raiders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
