Abington Heights put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on the Montrose Meteors with a sharp 3-0 victory. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 2-0 victory last Saturday.

Abington Heights not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Montrose between 16 and 17 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-17, 25-17.

Alaina Krempasky paced Abington Heights' offense, picking up seven kills. Krempasky were helped by Brielle Wentz and Hilde Temblador, who contributed ten assists each.

Abington Heights' win bumped their record up to 17-0. As for Montrose, their loss ended an eight-match streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 8-4.

Abington Heights and Montrose should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings. The Comets will square off against Wilkes-Barre at 6:00 p.m. on Monday with a big rank advantage (11 vs. 234). Meanwhile, Montrose (ranked 103rd) will meet Elk Lake (ranked 340th) at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
