Basketball Recap: Maranatha Christian Takes a Loss

Maranatha Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 39-16 to the Horizon Prep Lions. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1330th, while the Lions are ranked 529th).

Maranatha Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Horizon Prep, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-2 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Maranatha Christian will challenge Orange Glen at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Horizon Prep, they will take on Bayfront Charter at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
