Softball Recap: Midwest City Takes a Loss

Elgin hit Midwest City with a ten-run fifth inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Bombers came up short against the Owls, falling 16-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Owls this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-1 on Wednesday.

Midwest City's defeat dropped their record down to 20-8-1. As for Elgin, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 25-12.

Midwest City has already played their next game, a 3-1 victory against Lawton on the 9th. As for Elgin, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 5-2 loss against Carl Albert on the 16th.
