The Midview Middies will square off against the Nordonia Knights at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.
Midview took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Lutheran West an 8-0 shutout. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Middies as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
The result came thanks to Luke Jockel's shutout, as he gave up just four hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Midview is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 9-13 otherwise.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Nordonia). They blew past Cuyahoga Falls 18-3 on Monday. The win continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Black Tigers: they've now won five in a row.
Nordonia got a massive performance out of Grant Kaminski, who went 1-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those two runs gave Kaminski a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Wolff, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.
Midview's victory bumped their record up to 11-14. As for Nordonia, their win bumped their record up to 8-13.
Midview's speedy runners might be the difference in Tuesday's matchup. The Middies have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.9 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Nordonia, though, as they've been averaging an even more impressive 1.1 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Midview continue to outrun the ball?
