Football Recap: St. Joseph's Prep Comes Up Short on the Road Against American Heritage + How To Watch

St. Joseph's Prep had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell just short of the American Heritage Patriots by a score of 31-28 on Friday. The loss came about despite the Hawks having been up 21 in the second quarter.

American Heritage's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jonathan Bueno Jr, who rushed for 94 yards and three touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamar Denson, who picked up 147 receiving yards and one TD.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Joseph's Prep will face off against DeMatha at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for American Heritage, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Chaminade-Madonna at 7:00 p.m. on September 5.
