Softball Recap: Islands Comes Up Short

If Islands was riding high fresh off their 24-5 takedown of Calvary Day on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Sharks came up short against the Liberty County Panthers on Thursday, falling 14-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-1 back in August.

Islands' loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Liberty County, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Islands is on the road again on Monday to play Savannah Christian at 5:30 p.m. As for Liberty County, they will take on McIntosh County Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
