Softball Recap: Adams Central's Losing Streak Snapped at Nine Games

Adams Central can bid farewell to their nine-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They walked away with a 7-3 win over the McCook Bison. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Patriots also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2021.

Jordyn Pracht made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over five innings pitched. What's more, she posted four strikeouts, the most she's had over her last eight games. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

In other batting news, Lakyn Lewis was excellent, going 2-for-4 with three runs and two doubles. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Nevaeha Sorensen was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Adams Central's victory bumped their record up to 6-14. As for McCook, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season.

Adams Central has already played their next contest, a 4-1 win against Gothenburg on the 22nd. McCook has also already played their next game (against Chadron), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
