Soccer Recap: Lakeside Takes a Loss

Lakeside managed to slip by Evans the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Lakeside Panthers came up short against the Evans Knights on Friday, falling 3-0. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Lakeside's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 2-2. As for Evans, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lakeside will venture away from home to challenge West Forsyth at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Evans, they will head out to square off against Westminster Schools of Augusta at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Evans is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.5 goals per game this season.
