Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Naomi Hervert and Ava Wroblewski Lead Ravenna to Victory

After losing to Elm Creek the last time they met, Ravenna decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Bluejays sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Buffaloes on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bluejays.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Ravenna got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 17-25, 25-22.

Ravenna was led to victory by Ava Wroblewski and Naomi Hervert. Wroblewski had 13 digs and two aces, while Hervert had 26 assists and ten digs. Those 26 assists gave Hervert a new career-high.

Ravenna's record now sits at 8-11. As for Elm Creek, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-10.

Ravenna has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Pleasanton on the 2nd. As for Elm Creek, they will face off against Twin Loup at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
