Midwest City proved they can win big two weeks ago (they won by 19) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Guymon Tigers 3-1. The win was nothing new for the Bombers as they're now sitting on five straight.

Noreli Brown spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on one hit and racked up 15 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up a single earned run in six consecutive appearances.

Midwest City's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Guymon, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-7.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Midwest City beat the Tigers by a score of 6-2 later that day.
