Soccer Game Preview: Ontario Christian vs. Edison

The Ontario Christian Knights will square off against the Edison Chargers at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Ontario Christian will be looking to extend their current 11-game winning streak.

Ontario Christian is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They beat Saugus by a goal, winning 3-2. Three seems to be a good number for the Knights as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of goals in their previous game.

Meanwhile, Edison kept a clean sheet against Torrance on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Tartars by a score of 2-0. Given the Chargers' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 30th, while the Tartars are ranked 160th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Ontario Christian pushed their record up to 22-2 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 36 goals over those six matchups. As for Edison, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-8.
