Recap: High Tech NC Raptor vs. Gompers Prep Academy Eagles
The High Tech NC Raptor entered their tilt with the Gompers Prep Academy Eagles with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. High Tech NC secured a 30-25 W over Gompers Prep Academy on Thursday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as High Tech NC also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
Riley Hernandez continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. Hernandez is absolutely dominating the block category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Nadia Dawood, who scored four points along with ten rebounds and six steals.
Despite the loss, Gompers Prep Academy still got an impressive performance from Kamariyah Mccollough, who scored 15 points. Nadia Mohamed was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
High Tech NC's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Gompers Prep Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-10.
High Tech NC will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against San Diego Academy at 3:45 p.m. As for Gompers Prep Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Mountain Empire at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mountain Empire is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.
