Soccer Recap: Linden Triumphs

Linden kept a clean sheet against Riverbank on Tuesday. They won by a goal and slipped past the Riverbank Bruins 1-0. The Lions wouldn't have won without Katie Schallberger, who scored the game-winner.

Linden's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3-1 and their overall record up to 5-8-2. As for Riverbank, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-17-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Linden will host Summerville at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Linden's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for six straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end. As for Riverbank, they will be playing at home against Big Valley Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
