Recap: Downey Knights vs. Enochs Eagles
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Turlock, the Downey Knights were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They came out on top against Enochs by a score of 39-32. For Downey, this counts as revenge for the 47-39 loss Enochs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2023.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Downey to victory, but perhaps none more so than Nathalia Soto, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 steals. Another player making a difference was Alexis Monroy, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Downey's win ended a nine-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-15. As for Enochs, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-14.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Downey will face off against Gregori at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Gregori will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak. As for Enochs, they will head out on the road to challenge Turlock at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Turlock is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games.
