Softball Recap: Starmont Takes a Loss

After flying high against Central on Friday, Starmont came back down to earth. The Stars fell just short of the Midland Eagles by a score of 4-3 on Monday. The loss continues a trend for the Stars in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost three in a row.

Starmont's defeat dropped their record down to 6-15. As for Midland, their victory ended a 15-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-15.

Starmont didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 6-5 loss against Maquoketa Valley on the 26th. As for Midland, they have also already played their next game, a 12-6 defeat against Monticello on the 24th.
