Football Recap: Greater Nanticoke Area Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Greater Nanticoke Area extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 15 on Friday, dropping them down to 0-9. They were dealt a 60-7 loss at the hands of the Wyoming Area Warriors. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 539th, while the Warriors are ranked 226th).

As for Wyoming Area, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-1. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won six games by 24 points or more so far this season.

Wyoming Area's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nicolas Kondrosky, who rushed for 67 yards and a pair of scores. Kondrosky was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 57 yards. Jack Gravine was another key signal caller, throwing for 89 yards and two touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes.

Coming up, Greater Nanticoke Area will take on Hanover Area at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Wyoming Area, they will challenge Pittston at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
